Centralized Communication System
Research
shows that companies that measure performance, and emphasize communication
and development, consistently outperform their competitors. Communication
is crucial when setting benchmarks and goals, in identifying strengths
to develop, weaknesses to address, and in nurturing star employees.
Ineffective communication, however, leads to confusion, misinformation
and wasted time.
Centralized
communication System (COM) takes the best elements out of email,
message board, and database file search, centralizes communication
and eliminates redundant message exchanges. In a typical COM interaction,
an originator sends out a message to multiple recipients, as they
would in an email. When they reply, however, their responses are
listed under the subject so the group can read the stream of responses
on one page as opposed to sifting through redundant e-mails and
posting the same reply as another recipient. Not only does this
streamline the initial communication, it also provides a historical
document to refer back to - by subject, alleviating the need to
scroll through individual e-mails to find information on the topic.
