POSITION SUMMARY:


The primary responsibility of this position is to create new sales revenue from new and existing customers selling license for Web-based management platform product lines. Develop customer accounts through the process of lead generation which ultimately results in sales of software licenses. Responsible for the account throughout the sales process and coordinate activities with other Forte Connections sales professionals working on the account.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.
Sell company products and services to achieve or exceed assigned sales goals and revenue objectives.
  a. Contact prospective and/or existing clients to determine product needs.
b. Perform lead generation and follow-up.
c. Conduct sales presentations to match company products with identified needs.
d. Offer technical, product, and process knowledge on solution.
e. Perform Internet-based software demonstrations and seminars.
f.  Drive to close sales.
g. Manage multiple accounts, set account strategy and promote all company products and services to customer's executives and operation's management.
2.
Respond to in-depth questions regarding the product from potential customers. Remain knowledgeable on company products and services to facilitate sales efforts.
3.
Maintain sales records. Prepare sales reports.
4.
Provide follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction with products and/or services provided.


ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in business or sales management
  • 3 - 5 years business application software sales experience in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with EAI, ERP, collaboration, or e-commerce preferred
  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned quota
  • Experience in major, complex software sales to large and mid-sized companies

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

  • Effective selling, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional presentation experience and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate with people at all organizational levels, especially the CFO or President
  • Must have a high degree of independence yet work with a team of co-workers during sales cycle
  • Ability to interview and define the needs of the customer and present solutions
  • Strong relationship skills
  • Strategic account management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within a territory
  • Complex sales training methodology preferred
  • Strong information gathering skills
  • Ability to "farm" and grow existing accounts
  • Familiarity with Windows, PC's and various software programs
